Vista Transformation Pack 8.0 - It’s finally here!

Sadly that I couldn’t bundle a user guide of this release together with the product since Maeroris doesn’t have much time to work on it and I already promised to release it in middle of this month (which seems to be late already). To be frank, this version is mainly the same to previous ones except “Aero Glass without WindowBlinds” and “WinFlip” f

Killzone 2 Beta Still Coming (Maybe. In 2008) [Killzone 2]

helghast3.jpg

When Guerilla’s Seb Downie said we’d get “more on a beta later this year”, he wasn’t fucking around. Here we are, at December’s doorstep, and Guerilla have delivered. Sadly, not the beta (what, you though it’d just sneak up on you? At Christmas?), but on their promised news of the beta:

Hollandia Platinum-Luxe Elite Sleep System Lets You Do Everything But

hollandia_elite_12.jpg

i am the only person who believes that beds are for sleeping in? (Please disregard the fact that I am writing this from my boudoir, but I have a hangover.) Hollandia, a company that specializes in top-end schlaffen-sites, has come up with the multi-media bed to end all beds. As well as a Sony Bravia home entertainment system, there’s room for your iPod and a massage system. Let’s take a closer look. The full list of specs is this. The 32-inch Sony Bravia HDTV comes with an ambient lighting system to lessen eye strain. There’s also a five-DVD/CD changer, subwoofer, iPod dock and an integrated massage system with 12 massage programs.

Covered in white synthetic fiber (I guess it’s wipe clean, for obvious reasons) the bed has a fully-automated recliner system, and the famous (cough) Hollandia telescopic head support. Future models will even connect up the massager to the sound system, so that you can be pummelled away to whatever music bangs your drum. [Born Rich]

11-28-07-q5w.jpg

We knew the Cowon Q5W was coming to our fair shores this week, but now that it’s here, we’ve got some fresh details that make that $549 pricetag seem downright reasonable. Yesterday, Google announced that it plans to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in sources of renewable energy to help them power their vast server farms. MIT Designs Electro-Scooter That Folds Up into Tiny, Wheeled Package

mit_scooter22.jpg

Those eggheads at the Smart Cities group at MIT are a clever bunch, coming up with a design concept for an electric scooter that folds up into a package scarcely larger than a wheeled carry-on suitcase. In the Utopian vision for such bikes, you’d ride one to work, then fold it up and roll it right into the office, where it will take up very little space. But wait. This idea gets even more appealing:

mit_scooter_02.jpg

As depicted in the conceptual rendering above, there’s a plan to rent the electric bikes in numerous locations throughout a city, where a rider could take a bike one-way, dropping it off near a destination in a different part of town. The scooter’s not bad looking, either. If you like this, wait ’til next year, when the group will be rolling out a foldable electric car.
